Partir en vacances avec ses animaux en voiture, facile ! Mais qu’en est-il des transports en commun ?

Animaux acceptés

Vous pouvez voyager avec vos chiens, vos chats, vos cochons d’Inde et tout autre petit animal. Il faut bien sûr prendre avec vous tous les documents nécessaires à leur identification. Les petits animaux doivent être bien évidement dans une caisse de transport rigide adaptée obligatoire et nécessaire pour que votre compagnon se sente en parfaite sécurité.

Les billets pour chiens-guides d’aveugles ne sont pas payants. Ils sont autorisés à voyager dans toute l’Union Européene à certaines conditions.

Animal de moins de 6 kg

Le billet de votre compagnon coûte 7 euros si son poids est inférieur à 6kg.

Il doit être dans un sac de voyage, un panier ou une caisse de minimum 45 cm x 30 cm x 25 cm. Ces derniers doivent être suffisamment grands pour que votre compagnon de route puisse se retourner. Vérifiez qu’il soit bien aéré et pensez à le placer de manière à ce que l’air circule !

Votre compagnon peut être mis sur vos genoux ou à vos pieds.

N’oubliez pas de prendre avec vous de l’eau pour l’hydrater si le voyage est long, si les températures sont élevées ou si il vous fait un “coup de panique” !

Chien de plus de 6 kg

Son billet équivaut à 50% du prix plein tarif d’un billet seconde classe.

Il doit être muselé tout le long du trajet et voyager à vos pieds.

L’avion

Pour partir en avion votre animal doit :

  • Avoir tous ses vaccins à jour
  • Être identifié avec une puce électronique
  • Détenir un passeport

Cabine ou soute ? Comme le dit Wamiz dans son article, vous pouvez garder votre Youki avec vous dans la cabine si il pèse moins de 5kg et si il est dans une caisse adéquate. Il doit être prévu sur le même vol que vous et le sac doit pouvoir rentrer parfaitement sous le siège situé devant vous.

Suivez les consignes à la lettre, sinon, vous ne pourrez pas embarquer !

Les compagnies de bus

La plupart des compagnies de bus refusent les animaux : notamment OUIBUS, Eurolines et Flixbus.

En revanche, Isilines les accepte !

Pour voyager sereinement avec votre chien, chat, lapinou ou autre, regardez bien sur les sites du transporteur et vérifiez les formalités d’accueil de votre animal suivant le pays où vous souhaitez aller.
